Your Key Activities:
Maintain effective communications with contracts managers, project management and other associated disciplines.
Assist in staff matters which may include: staff succession awareness, development, competency and retainment.
Provide input to staff performance and development reviews, and management of the commercial training programme.
Provide commercial input to contacts with clients representatives.
Provide input to risk profiling and management on projects.
Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurers representatives.
Ensure the production of monthly cost and value reports, quarterly forecasts and cash-flow information and present them to senior management.
Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to project strategy.

Carry out material take off and requisitions as requested by sub agent / agent.
Ensure all delivery tickets are cost coded and passed to accounts dept. for processing.
Ensure that testing / sampling of materials is carried out as required by the specification.

Check the works during progress and on completion to ensure that the works has been constructed to the setting-out information provides. Report any non-conformance to the section engineer / sub-agent / senior surveyor.
Ensure that comprehensive records of all resources employed on additional works are maintained and submitted for signature within 24 hrs of work being carried out.
Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes / variations, subcontractors attendance, and records of work related discussions with client / designer / RE / project team.
Carry out site surveys for volume, design and record purposes.
Carry out the duties of equipment engineers and maintain a log of all equipment on site, ensuring that all transfers/off hire are properly documented.
Carry out independent setting out checks.
Establish bench marks and control markers as directed for setting out and survey purposes.
Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.

Previous site experience, as a trainee or student.
